The first weekend of each month the dedicated volunteers at the museum open the doors of their exceptional diorama/ train exhibit and answer questions about it and the local railroad history. These are some knowledgeable folks […] You may be forgiven if you think that this is a Farmers Market. They are outdoors also. But this is more focused on non-food items and meeting the makers of the products. This is a great time to stock up on those unique holiday gifts and decorations. The first weekend of each month the Monterey and Salinas Valley Railroad Museum opens to the public. Check out their elaborate setup of the historic rail lines through our valley and the actual "rolling stock" on display. The folks there are knowledgeable and friendly and love sharing their passion.
