Given its remoteness from the worst of the city light, Laguna Seca Raceway is ideally located for stargazing and that’s just what you can do at this free event. The telescopists from MIRA (Monterey Institute for Research in Astronomy) are bringing their ‘scopes and expertise and you bring a curious mind. A flashlight with a red light or red cellophane over the light is a good touch also. It gets mighty dark at a star party.
