An art installation focusing the viewer’s attention of the gradual absorption of the incarcerated individual into the space that is doing the confining. As the plant growth covers the 6×9 space, the artist asks us to consider the end of incarceration. Food for thought, don’t you think? jackie sumell, the artist worked with actual prisoners in creating this artwork. As a result it carries a particular resonance. http://ias.ucsc.edu
