Safeway World Championship Pumpkin Weigh-off

This is the grandaddy of local pumpkin contests with 44 years of eye-popping pumpkins. This year has a $30,000 prize for the world record pumpkin by weight at the end of the contest. If not a world record the winner has to put up with a mere $7 per pound. It’s all over by 11:00 so don’t sleep in.
