Monterey Cherry Blossom Festival

We do have some cherry blossoms but their ephemeral beauty doesn’t last long with our wind. So to celebrate that short life span the Japanese have made them a cultural mainstay. To celebrate this  locally the group, Shinso Mugen Daiko has come to town for two evenings. Taiko literally translates to English as “big drum” but there is much more than that.
