Living History Days

History is important to all of us but in some places, like San Juan Bautista, it is more obvious.  The State Park staff sponsors a Living History Day on the first Saturday of each month. Dedicated people come out and share their knowledge of the skills and practices of the past while demonstrating those crafts. Smithing, candlemaking, and leather work are some examples of what you might see up close. They are at work from 11:00 until 3:30 on the first Saturday of each month.
