As you may already know this is a celebration of the news about the end of the Confederacy which reached enslaved people in Texas well after the end of the Civil War. Hartnell College is putting on a celebration of this historic event featuring drumming, singing, and a free dinner for the first 200 people in attendance. Get there early!
