John Cage’s Sonatas and Interludes for Prepared Piano

The acclaimed and controversial leader in avant-garde music, John Cage, has his piano music presented by CSUMB music professor, John Trevino. (This is not your grannie’s piano music.) The piano has many interesting and unusual items placed on the strings and within the body of the piano with the effect of changing the “normal” sound  of the instrument. This promises to be an evening of challenging music. Make sure you buy your tickets soon, the venue is not large.
