While some institutions might try to distance themselves from the identity and “vibe” of a city, the Santa Cruz Museum of Art & History does the opposite. This exhibit is a great example of that. It is a documentation of the political campaign by Hunter S. Thompson in the city of Aspen Colorado. He was running for Sheriff on a platform of change in the focus of the town.
