Doc Ricketts Lab Tour

The long-time friend of Steinbeck’s and respected marine biologist Ed Ricketts founded the Pacific Biological Laboratories and supplied specimens to classrooms and labs around the country. After his death the space became a gathering place for his friends and later still a sort of civic monument. Now you can visit without having to live here or having to be one of Doc’s friends
