Christmas in the Adobes

You’re right! It happens during the Christmas holidays and it’s in the Adobes. But what it really is is two evenings celebrating the history and culture of the early settlers who brought their traditions with them when beginning their lives in Monterey. People from around the world arrived here and the celebrations focus mainly on the American and Spanish/Mexican influences of the area. Period clothing, songs, games, food, and decorations are demonstrated by knowledgeable volunteers. These are often local professionals who don their gay apparel to entertain and educate us.
