Birding @ Carr Lake

Once upon a time the area we call Carr Lake was a major resting spot on the migratory flyway for many bird species. Now it’s a vernal lake and dry almost all the time.  Because they are very persistent, the birds still come but not in the same numbers. You can come out to the lake and learn about the birds, their history and the lake from people who know. Then you have a chance to contribute to the well -being of the lake by aiding in  cleanup and weed removal. They will provide water, snacks, and tools. You provide a curious mind, strong back, and a water bottle.
