Big Read (Remember the Titans)

This is a series of activities and art exhibits, showings, and activities around the reading of a single book by the people of Monterey County.  This year’s selection is “Citizen” a collection of poetry presented in an innovative way. It deals with the realities of being a member of a community of color in modern America.

The movie with Denzel Washington as a coach dealing with the difficulties of racial relations in his community as well as coach football. As with the other prsentations this is with the intent of raising awareness of similar issues in our community of Monterey County.
