Big Read (In the Heat of the Night)

This is a series of activities and art exhibits, showings, and activities around the reading of a single book by the people of Monterey County.  This year’s selection is “Citizen” a collection of poetry presented in an innovative way. It deals with the realities of being a member of a community of color in modern America.

Tonight it’s Sidney Poitier and Rod Steiger dealing with the changing face of America. Lots to think and talk about in this one. Hosted by Luis Camara, a professor of cinema at CSUMB.
