Big Read (“Citizen” book discussion)

This is a series of activities and art exhibits, showings, and activities around the reading of a single book by the people of Monterey County.  This year’s selection is “Citizen” a collection of poetry presented in an innovative way. It deals with the realities of being a member of a community of color in modern America.

A local group working for racial justice is hosting a discussion for those who have read the book, “Citizen”. It is likely to be eye-opening and interesting, at least.
