Big Read (A Better Life)

This is a series of activities and art exhibits, showings, and activities around the reading of a single book by the people of Monterey County.  This year’s selection is “Citizen” a collection of poetry presented in an innovative way. It deals with the realities of being a member of a community of color in modern America.

The movie “A Beter Life ” is part of the series dealing with communities and their racial relationships. This movie is an attempt to get all of us in Monterey County talking.
