It’s Big Week, the annual festivity of all things cowboy, here in Salinas. The city has been doing this for over 100 years and it has changed a lot but it is still dedicated to horses and the people who live and work with them. There is a wide variety of things to see and do, starting with the carnival and the several parades. Then there are the arena activities, riding, roping and racing.
